In Loving Memory

Eclipse (Clipper) was a part of our family for 11 years. 4 weeks old, and the runt of the litter when we got him, Clipper enjoyed the downtown Toronto life through his puppyhood. Clipper will always be out first child, and thought of himself as human rather than animal. Clipper left us last night, July 18, 2006, and was in our arms until the end. We will never know a more devoted love than he gave us.

In Loving Memory Rosa, aka Pussycat, was adopted by my parents while they were living in San Antonio, Texas. She was a stray, who had been abandoned by her previous owners. She had lost an eye to an unknown predator, and was tiny and malnourished when they found her.
Pussycat was with us for 4 years. She was my parents cat, though she stayed with me on a couple of occasions while they were away. She was a small gray cat, who always seemed to be winking at you. She was grateful for everything and everyone around her, and never asked for anything. She died summer 2000, of an unknown illness. She became very ill very fast, and lost half of her body weight. I asked the vet to put her out of her pain, and held her to the very end.
She is sadly missed by our family, human and animal alike, and we will always treasure the memories she gave us.

Oreo is the eldest of our menagerie. She is a very fluffy black and white Persian, who was adopted from the Pet store in the Covent Garden Market in London, Ontario. She is finicky, pretentious, and an absolutely loving and adorable cat. She has the nickname Puddy, as in "I tawt I saw a puddytat". She was born in 1990, and has been with us since she was 8 weeks old. She currently resides with my parents in the "retirement home"! :)

The middle child was adopted June 21, 2000, from the Great Haliburton Feed Co. His mother was a Lab/German Shepherd mix, and his father was most likely a Rottweiller. He is almost identical to Clipper, with only a few different markings, and floppy ears. He earned his name the first day by following Clipper around constantly. He is a real sweetie, and has quickly become a true member of the family. He is now over 4 years old, in perfect health, and weighs in at almost 90 pounds!

At approximately 8 weeks old, Mako was found at the Cree Complex in Moose Factory on December 27, 2001. Weighing only 8.8 pounds less than 12 hours after we brought him home, he was skin and bones, but a seemingly healthy pup and a wonderful personality. While this was not a planned parenthood, we are thrilled to have him here. His name is derived from both the Cree word for December (makosîkîsikanipîsim) and for the Mako shark, given his voracious appetite upon arrival to our home. We tried on several names for size, but this one suits him best.

Punkin was adopted December 29, 2004 from the Toronto Humane Society. A real sweetheart, and extremely affectionate, it only took her a day to show the boys who the new boss is. She is growing like a weed, and is turining into a beautiful velvet cat. And she just loves building web sites with me!

Samson & Delilah were stray kittens brought into the facility where I work. They resided there for nearly a month, but circumstances meant they must find a new home - I volunteered, and on November 28/04, they moved in with me.

Delilah is timid, cautious and observant. She is also very playful, and feels comfortable enough in this household after only 1 day to play with the dogs, and wander about at her will.

Samson is the opposite of Delilah, and the first tom cat to grace our family. Bold, adventurous and fearless, Samson has already shown Punkin he is a rough and tumble playmate. Samson has already claimed the scratching post as his own, scaling the sides and leaping from the top to tackle whomever walks by.
