Ritual Cleansing - Space
Using your besom (a broom specifically used for ritual only), sweep the circle you will be using. Cleaning such as sweeping debris, vacuuming, mopping etc. should be done first. The besom is used more metaphorically, to sweep the negative energy from the space. For this purpose, your besom does not actually need to "sweep" the floor, you can hold it off the floor. Make your motions from the center of the circle outwards, and work in a clockwise direction.

Open to the positive light."
